 Hotel Description:

The Paragon Restaurant & Bar offers guests a clubby and contemporary environment to savor American favorites with a French brasserie-style twist. The guestrooms evoke a sense of dramatic authenticity, paying homage to its luxurious and traditional past. To date, over $15 million has been invested towards the historic renovation, a seismic retrofitting, and the extraordinary feat of relocating the hotel 186 feet south of its previous location. The building's striking Renaissance Revival architecture integrates design elements from Spanish and Beaux Arts traditions, which marry strikingly with the casual elegance and amenities that have today's traveler in mind. The natural colors are also referenced in the original artwork by artist Rex Ray, and pair nicely with the custom-designed wood furnishings in each room. Hotel Montgomery's centralized location makes it a desirable location for corporate and leisure travelers, due to its proximity to the Convention Center, the Museum of Techonology, the San Jose Museum of Art, and the HP Pavilion. The color palette of camel, burnt red and sandy peach was inspired by the California climate, and the rooms feel easy, light and warm. The 86-room Hotel Montgomery is a treasure of San Jose that dates back to 1911.
